Order! Order! The State Rooms will open once again. Join our ANS group and see where the Speaker of the House of Commons lives and conducts official business, outside of the Chamber. This guided tour, only running during some parliamentary recesses, offers you the unique opportunity to see inside the incredible rooms and get up close to some of the magnificent artworks, including portraits of Speakers through the years. Our guide will share some lesser-known historical facts about the role of the Speaker – a role that has existed since 1377. This 75 minute fully accessible tour includes the Grand Staircase, the Crimson Drawing Room, the State Dining Room, and the State Bedroom.
