Van Gogh, Self-Portraits at the Courtauld Gallery in Somerset House

From the announcement in the April e-news :

Described by the Financial Times in its full page review as a ‘landmark show’, this exhibition contains 16 of van Gogh’s 22 self-portraits painted in 1887. Some have never been seen in the UK. Several works in the exhibition were last together in Van Gogh’s studio and have never been reunited, until now. The Financial Times suggests that in Self-portrait with Felt Hat the artist ‘is still a tonal Dutchman’. We will start with a guided tour of the permanent collection at 2pm followed by entry to the exhibition at 3pm. For those who would like to meet up for lunch we will meet from 12.30pm in Pennethorne’s Bar in the new wing of Somerset House (Waterloo Bridge side). Cost: £25 pp including guided tour of the permanent collection, the exhibition and admin fee. Lunch not included.
