Music in the paintings of Dutch Masters : Virtual Lecture

Join Peter Medhurst, presenter, scholar, bass-baritone, harpsichordist and organist for his exclusive online presentation Behind Closed Doors, Music in the paintings of the 17 th Century Dutch Masters.

Peter studied singing and early keyboard instruments at the Royal College of Music and at the Mozarteum in Salzburg.

Starting from a wealth of 17 th century Dutch pictures he will discuss the complexities of Dutch history, the ever changing political alliances, religious divisions and the rise of the mercantile class.

The talk will take approx. 60 minutes with Q&A. Cost £10 per household. Guests and potential members are welcome. Payment instructions will follow after registration at events”at” . Thursday 15 October 2020 at 6pm.

Those who would like to join but won’t be able to attend are invited to register and pay, as acces will be given to an exclusive recording after the event.
